HOW CAN I ACCESS THIS TRAINING?
Option 1: This Course is available for in-house training:
A great option that's cost effective and easy to organise: just set up the training room and we come to you to deliver the content you want on the day you choose. We can bring this course to your organisation for a fixed, all-inclusive fee of £199 per person. There is a minimum requirement of 4 attendees. Where there is a request for between 5 and 8 places to be booked, we will provide a discount and offer one of these places for free. If the request is for 9 to 12 attendees, we will automatically provide 2 discounted spaces and offer them for free. The maximum class size is 12 delegates.
If you want training away from your offices (and possible distractions), we can arrange a day at one of our centres with only your staff in attendance. This option does not include the discounted spaces for the training.
Option 2: Private Training at Our Centres:
If you are a private individual then we do offer training courses for minimum two people from different companies or organisations that would like to attend our next scheduled training at one of our venues. Essential Counselling Skills for Clinical Supervision
This practical one day course is designed to provide learners with an up-to-date theoretical overview of clinical supervision with a focus on the practical application of using essential counselling skills within the one to one supervision in a range of practice environments.
In the context of the multifaceted nature of clinical supervision the course pays particular attention to the supportive role and responsibilities of supervisors when dealing with common supervision problems and how they can be successfully addressed through using counselling skills. This course is ideal for those who are already in a supervisory role and/or those who have an interest and wishing to train in it.
The Course Aims:
To give you the knowledge of what supervision is, to understand the difference between different models of supervision and how providing support in clinical supervision can be best achieved.
To help you develop an understanding of how to structure supervisees’ needs and/or when to provide practical support for your supervisee
To introduce you to the idea of when or how you can best make use of the basic counselling skills within clinical supervision situations
To give you the skills and resources to reliably deliver support, repeatedly and reliably
To acquaint you with the relevant legal and ethical issues involved in supervision
This is a one-day training course structured into 8 modules:

MODULE 2: The Supervision Relationship
MODULE 3: Roles and Responsibilities of Supervisors
MODULE 4: Managing the Supervisory Process: Models and Methods
MODULE 5: Necessary Skills in the Supervision Relationship and Working Therapeutically
MODULE 6: Developing Basic Counselling Skills Everyone can Learn and Use
MODULE 7: Legal and ethical issues and responsibilities
MODULE 8: Final practical exercise including inter-group quiz
What You Receive as a Result of Attending the Training:
As the name says, we are a privately owned counselling and psychotherapy service. All our courses are taught by qualified and registered therapists. You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining a Certificate of Award (ECSCS-1) to this effect. The course has been endorsed by a professional body – Independent Professional Therapists International (IPTI).
